Perhaps you have never visited the Quote page? If you have, it may have been awhile. I have just added some new quotes. Some may inspire you. Some may make you angry. Some you may write down for further examination. Regardless, if any of them get you thinking, inspired your creativity, or help you see another side to a situation, then I have done my job. Here are a few to get you started. If you have a favourite, I would love to know. Now please check out what else is there.
“People feel like the system is rigged against them, and here is the painful part, they’re right, the system is rigged.” Elizabeth Warren
“Peace cannot be kept by force; It can only be achieved by understanding.” Albert Einstein.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” H.L. Mencken
“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein
“Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.” Thomas Jefferson
I hope you have found something that captures your imagination among these examples. Now, please check out what else is new on the Quotes page…
Bisous,
Léa
I’m always interested in seeing quotations that others have found to be an inspiration – so often they are inspirational to me too…
I’m afraid I didn’t do this right. The quotes in the post are suppose to draw people to the actual quotes page… If you have found any that speak to you, I am glad. You’ve seen enough of my other blog to know that I do love a good quote!
I love you putting Elizabeth up there with Einstein! Her quote is dead on~
It is too bad she isn’t on the ‘ticket’! Thanks Cindy. I’ve had you on my mind. I hope all is well there. One reads about the fires and worries… xx
excellent choices,
Merci beaucoup! I just can’t resist a good quote. 🙂
I choose to live as if everything is a miracle, love the quotes have a great day Lea xxx
Kath, I’m going to try and add new quotes more frequently and hope people will check them out. I just added two more from Stephen Hawking I couldn’t resist… Have a wonderful day down under Kath xxx
There is something very powerful about a quote, and I like the way you explain it “if any of them get you thinking, inspired your creativity, or help you see another side to a situation, then I have done my job…” And the Einstein quote is perfect, especially the last part “…you can live as if everything is a miracle.” Wishing you a great weekend Léa
Thank you for your kind words Randall. I am a self-confessed quote junkie and have some very long lists I keep adding to. I shall keep adding to the blog quote lists in the future just in case someone is looking!
Great quote from Elizabeth Warren. Something she and Donald Trump agree on!
Wonderful quotes all. I think I like Einstein’s the best. I prefer to find miracles every day. 🙂 Thanks for visiting me at Roughwighting!
Glad you enjoyed the quotes and my pleasure to visit your site! 😀
